Medical Disclaimer

The information provided on FitCalcs (www.getfitcalc.com) is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to replace, and should not be interpreted as, professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Not medical advice

All content on this website โ€” including calculator outputs, articles, charts, workout generators, quizzes, and reference tables โ€” is presented "as is" for informational purposes only. FitCalcs does not provide medical advice, prescribe treatment, or diagnose conditions. Reliance on any information provided by this site is solely at your own risk.

Always consult a qualified professional

Before making any changes to your diet, exercise routine, supplement use, sleep, or general health regimen, consult with a qualified healthcare professional. This is particularly important if you:

  • Have a pre-existing medical condition (diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, etc.)
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive
  • Are taking prescription or over-the-counter medications
  • Have a history of disordered eating
  • Are recovering from injury or surgery
  • Are under 18 or over 65

Calculator estimates are approximations

Every calculator on FitCalcs uses peer-reviewed formulas (see our methodology page) but produces estimates based on population averages. Individual physiology varies. Body fat estimates from circumference measurements may differ from DEXA scans by 3-5%. Calorie predictions can vary by 10-15% from actual measured energy expenditure. Use these estimates as a starting point, not as definitive numbers.

No doctor-patient relationship

Use of FitCalcs does not create any form of doctor-patient relationship. We are not your physician, registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, or licensed therapist. If you require personalized advice, please consult an appropriate licensed professional in your jurisdiction.

Emergency situations

FitCalcs is not designed to address medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately (911 in the US, 112 in the EU, 999 in the UK).

Pregnancy and special populations

While we provide pregnancy-related calculators based on Institute of Medicine (IOM) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines, all pregnancy-related decisions should be made under the supervision of a qualified prenatal care provider.
